Webinar on How to Prepare for One’s Death
Saturday, January 28, 2023
10:30 am to 12:00 pm
The presentation will cover some of the nuts and bolts for ending well. While there is required paperwork, there are some other things to think about: your digital estate, and your wishes for health and medical care. This presentation will also touch on personal aspects such as ways to leave a loving document to bless each of your close loved ones–your values alongside your valuables.
This presentation will address a gift you can give to those who will be taking care of your affairs, fulfilling responsibilities that must be discharged when you die. While this is never a joyful task for people left behind, it is possible to take steps now that can lighten the load for those designated people.
From JANET LOGAN: “I taught elementary school much earlier in life and moved into adult education in mid-life. As someone who has no children, the information given in the Ending Well Workshop was invaluable for knowing exactly what I need to do to empower a trusted friend of mine to make decisions for me and to carry out my wishes. I was able to complete this end-of-life work during the stay-at-home orders of 2020.”
From MARTHA CLARK: “My academic background is in the field of Human Development. I taught at Pacific Oaks College for 27 years where I created classes in elder years development and aging. As I’ve aged, I have come to appreciate the blessings of the elder years as well as the challenges. Ending Well provides an opportunity to engage with others about how best to navigate these dynamics.”
Martha and Janet are co-founders of “Ending Well”, a five-week workshop series offered to interested parties free of charge. Topics in this presentation plus essential items are covered in the Ending Well workshops.
Linda Wong, Principal attorney of Global Law Group will be the moderator. Any questions in advance please send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
